Kënga VII
Mavijeja mbret ish bërë,
e njerëzitë të tërë
i pabesi i mundonte,
dhe njeri nukë peshonte,
shumë punë shtoj e nxorri,
botënë më qaf’ e mori,
me një tërkuzë të-shkretë
njerin’ e lidhi për jetë!
S’ qenë mjaft këto që bëri
Mavije zëmërë-gdhëri,
po shtërngoj dhe njerëzinë,
parësin’ e pleqësinë,
që të njohënë të birë,
atë Jezitn’ e fështirë!
Për mbret pas vdekjes’ së tija!
popo! mjerë njerëzija!
Atë njeri, që s’e donte,
nuk’ e lij, po e helmonte!
Ngrysej i gjori e s’ngdhihej,
dh’emëri më nuk’ i ndihej
Veç farës’ së Mavijesë
tjatrë të mos ketë pjesë,
ata në front të qëndrojnë,
për jetë të mbretërojnë!
