Sëmundjet e zemrës janë të llojeve të ndryshme nga sëmundjet e valvulave të zemrës, venave të zemrës, si dhe të sëmundjeve të muskujve të zemrës dhe në çdo rast në varësi të kushteve të të sëmurit mund të vendoset nëse lejohet ose jo agjërimi. Megjithëse në të gjitha këto raste është i nevojshëm me mjekun specialist kardiolog, në mënyrë të përgjithshme mund të jepen disa këshilla për këta të sëmurë.
