Ashuraja nuk është festë .Ashurja është Revolucion i të Drejtës dhe të Vërtetës.
Në historinë islame dhe në hadithet e transmetuara thuhet se profeti Muhamed ( paqja qoftë mbi të dhe familjen e tij) e ka lajmëruar vrasjen e Imam Husejnit ( paqja qoftë mbi të) në tokën e Kerbelasë.
Ndër ato thënie përmendim: El-Hakim En-Nijsaburij me sened nga Ummu Fadl bintu’l Harith, bashkëshortja e Abbas ibn Abdul Muttalibit, e cila ka shkuar tek i Dërguari i Allahut dhe i ka thënë: “O i Dërguari i Allahut, unë kam parë një ëndërr të keqe mbrëmë. Ai i tha: “Si ishte?” Ajo i tha: “Ishte e tmerrshme.” Ai i tha: “Si ishte?” Ajo i tha: “Unë pashë sikur një pjesë e trupit tënd u pre dhe ra në prehërin tim.” I Dërguari i Allahut i tha: “Ke parë diçka të mirë. Fatimeja do të lindë, inshaAllah, një djalë dhe do të jetë në prehërin tënd.” Fatime Zehra ( paqja qoftë mbi të ) lindi Husejnin dhe u vendos në prehërin tim, ashtu siç tha i Dërguari i Allahut.
Një ditë, hyra te i Dërguari dhe e vendosa atë në prehërin e tij. Pastaj pashë sytë e të Dërguarit të Allahut që po lotonin. Ajo tha: I thashë: “O i Dërguari i Allahut, nëna ime dhe babai im qofshin kurban për ty! Çfarë ke?” Ai tha: “Më erdhi Xhebraili (paqja qoftë mbi të!) dhe më lajmëroi se ummeti im do ta vrasë këtë djalin (nipin) tim.” Unë i thashë: “Këtë?” Ai tha: “Po. Ai më solli edhe dheun e kuq.” (El-Mustedrek ala’s-Sahihejn, 3/194, hadithi nr. 4818. E ka transmetuar Ibn Asakiri në Tarijkh Dimashk
Meqenëse revolucioni i Imam Husejnit ishte për hir të Allahut dhe për të mbrojtur të drejtën dhe të vërtetën, dy shtyllat bazë të jetës së kësaj bote, ai do të jetë i përhershëm dhe do të vazhdojë deri në fund të kësaj jete.
