18. Për punë të mirë Ismail Qemali arriti të bëhej deri këshilltar personal i sulltan Abdylhamitit, në momentin kur Perandoria Osmane ishte në fund të saj. Një detyrë që e mbajti nga viti 1892 deri në vitin 1900. Kjo e ndihmoi atë ta njihte nga brenda perandorinë.

19. Nga e gjithë detyra e tij si këshilltar i Sulltanit, mbahet mend se Ismail Qemali ishte ai që i propozoi atij ndërtimin e një hekurudhe që niste në Durrës dhe mbaronte në Stamboll. Një vepër që nuk u ndërtua as në atë kohë dhe vazhdon të mos jetë e ndërtuar edhe sot.

20. Më 1 maj të vitit 1900, sulltan Abdylhamiti për punë dhe cilësi të mira e emëron Vali i Përgjithshëm i Libisë, një detyrë mjaft e lartë e asaj kohe. Por Ismail Qemali u nis për në Tripoli, por rrugës kthehet dhe shkon në Paris, Londër e gjetkë, për të punuar për çështjen shqiptare.

21. Më 1908, me ndihmën e shqiptarëve të veriut të Maqedonisë, Ismail Qemali zgjidhet deputet i rrethit të Beratit, por në fakt ishte përfaqësues i gjithë Shqipërisë. Gjatë kohës që Ismail Qemali ishte deputet në Parlamentin e parë të Turqisë moderne, ai pati një peshë të konsiderueshme. Fjalimet e Ismail Qemalit në Kuvend kanë qenë nga më oratoriket dhe më me mendim, duke nxitur kundërshtarët ta sulmojnë pa të drejtë.

22. Ismail Qemali ra në sy në vitin 1871, pikërisht në zemër të Turqisë osmane, se paraqiti tre kërkesa të njëpasnjëshme për hapjen e shkollave shqipe në Shqipëri. Edhe pse punonte si pjesë e administratës osmane, mori pjesë në një mbledhje të rilindësve shqiptarë në Stamboll për të krijuar alfabetin shqip.

23. Në vitin 1865 Ismail Qemali nisi të punonte për pavarësinë e Shqipërisë, duke krijuar për këtë çështje një klub në kryeqendrën e perandorisë, Stamboll, bashkë me Konstandin Kristoforidhin.

24. Shërbimi i sigurisë së administratës turke zbuloi se gjatë kohës që Ismail Qemali punonte për Turqinë, kishte hartuar një dokument për projektin e një Shqipërie të pavarur. Ky ishte edhe një nga shkaqet më të mëdha të përndjekjes që u ndërmor ndaj atij.

25. Ismail Qemali vdiq në rrethana misterioze në Peruxha të Italisë, pak momente para se të jepte një konferencë për shtyp. Deri më sot nuk ka në fakt një variant eksplicit të vdekjes së tij, por gjithmonë janë hedhur dyshime.

26. Dyshimi më i madh mendohet të jetë se ai është helmuar në ushqim nga qarqe greke dhe italiane antishqiptare, që e shikonin Ismail Qemalin si një personalitet me influencë të madhe për çështjen shqiptare.

27. Kufoma e Ismail Qemalit është mbajtur në Peruxha për dy javë pas vdekjes, me idenë e balsamosjes. Por kjo i shtoi edhe më shumë dyshimet për helmim, pasi i kanë nxjerrë të gjitha organet e brendshme për të zhdukur çdo shenjë për autopsinë.

28. Ismail Qemali është varrosur dy herë. Herën e parë në shkurt të vitit 1919 në Kaninë, vendin e lindjes dhe të paraardhësve të tij, dhe herën e dytë më 28 Nëntor në Vlorë, viti 1932.

29. Varrimi i dytë është bërë me urdhër posaçërisht të mbretit Ahmet Zogu, me rastin e 20-vjetorit të Pavarësisë. Zogu dhe partia e asaj kohe i kanë bërë nderimet më të mëdha trupit të Ismail Qemalit, duke ia vendosur eshtrat në varrin që është edhe sot në Vlorë.

30. Ceremonia për rivarrosjen e eshtrave të Ismail Qemalit është cilësuar si një nga ceremonitë më të mëdha që ka organizuar Ahmet Zogu gjatë gjithë kohës që ai ka qenë në pushtet. Ai i ka bërë nderimet më të mëdha atij që u quajt babai i kombit.

31. Ismail Qemali është nga ata personalitete politike dhe shtetërore që ka shkruar kujtimet e veta. Por kujtimet e tij nuk janë botuar asnjëherë të plota dhe kjo është çudia që e ka shoqëruar çdo gjë në jetën e tij.

32. Akuza më e madhe që është hedhur ndaj Ismail Qemalit, është ajo se ai ideoi pas pavarësisë ndarjen e Shqipërisë në kantone një model si Zvicra. Por sipas njerëzve që e hodhën këtë akuzë, kjo do të bënte që fqinjët ta kishin më të lehtë ndarjen dhe copëtimin e Shqipërisë.

33. Për herë të parë gjatë gjithë historisë së shtetit shqiptar diskutohet që të hiqet emri i Ismail Qemalit nga një institucion. Ky skandal ndodhi pikërisht kur rektori i Universitetit të Vlorës, Tanush Shaska, propozoi që emri i Ismail Qemalit t’i hiqej Universitetit të Vlorës. Propozim ky që ngjalli një reagim mjaft të ashpër si nga politika, media, intelektualët dhe publiku.

34. Pasardhësit më aktivë të Ismail Qemalit në ditët e sotme janë Darling Vlora, Nedim Vlora dhe Ariana Vlora. Ndërsa shumica e pasardhësve të tjerë kanë vdekur, kurse pjesa tjetër është në emigracion prej shumë vitesh.
