Në pikëpamjen islame nuk lejohet që njeriu ta kalojë jetën e tij i vetmuar, sepse do të jetë si krijesë e huaj në strukturën njerëzore. Islami dëshiron që familja të jetë qeliza e vërtetë e shoqërisë dhe jo individ i vetmuar.
