SI T’I PASTRONI MUSHKËRITË PAS LËNIES SË DUHANIT?

Lënia e duhanit është hapi i parë drejt shëndetit më të mirë, mirëpo është fakt që pirja shumëvjeçare e duhanit lë pasoja. Hulumtimet kanë treguar që njerëzit e rritur, të cilët kanë ngrënë dy domate dhe më shumë se tri mollë në ditë kanë ngadalësuar efektet negative në mushkëri, në raport me ata të cilët kanë ngrënë më pak artikuj të këtillë. Shkencëtarët thonë që efektet e përmendura vlejnë vetëm nëse mollët dhe domatet hahen të freskëta.

Për nevoja të këtij studimi, hulumtuesit u janë qasur të dhënave mbi ushqimin dhe funksionimin e mushkërive të më shumë se 650 personave të rritur në vitin 2006, ndërkaq testet e njëjta në të njëjtin grup të vullnetarëve i kanë përsëritur pas dhjetë vjetësh. Pjesëmarrësit nga Gjermania, Norvegjia dhe Britania e Madhe kanë plotësuar pyetësorët mbi ushqimin dhe është publikuar edhe spirometria me të cilën matet kapaciteti i mushkërive.

Natyrisht janë marrë parasysh edhe faktorët siç janë pleqëria, gjatësia, gjinia, indeksi i masës trupore, statusi socio-ekonomik, aktivitetet fizike. Rezultatet kanë konstatuar që ekziston lidhja midis ushqimit dhe punës së mushkërive, që është mjaft e dukshme te ish-duhanxhinjtë.

Është zbuluar që te duhanxhinjtë e dikurshëm ushqimi i të cilëve ishte i pasur me domate dhe perime, posaçërisht me mollë, në ata dhjetë vjet ka pasur ngadalësim të rënies së funksionimit të mushkërive. Kjo do të thotë që ushqimi i pasur me këta artikuj mund të ndihmojë në përmirësimin e dëmit të cilin ia kanë bërë cigaret mushkërive.
