Imam Aliu (paqja qoftë mbi të) na tregon: “E pyeta hz. Resulullahun (s.a.a): “Ja Resulullah! Në
Kuran thuhet: “Ademi pranoi prej Zotit të vet disa fjalë. Në bazë të tyre, Allahu ia pranoi
pendimin…” (Bekare, 37). Cilat janë ato fjalë që i pranoi Ademi (a.s.)? Hz. Resulullahu (s.a.a.)
iu përgjigj:

-O Ali, Allahu Teala e zbriti Ademin në Indi, Havën në Xhidde, gjarprin në Isfahan dhe
Iblisin në Mijsan (vend afër Basrës). Në xhenet nuk kishte gjë më të bukur se gjarpri dhe palloi.
Gjarpri kishte katër këmbë sikur deveja. Iblisi hyri në barkun e gjarprit dhe e mashtroi Ademin.
Si ndëshkim ndaj gjarprit, Allahu ia mori këmbët dhe i tha: “Furnizimin ta caktova në tokë dhe
do të lëvizësh përmes barkut. Atij që i dhimbsesh, Allahu mos ndjeftë dhimbje ndaj tij”. Palloit,
pasi i ndihmoi Iblisit në gjetjen e pemës, i caktoi si dënim ta ketë zërin dhe këmbët e shëmtuara.

Ademi mbeti në Indi njëqind vjet dhe, gjatë tërë kohës, e mbante kokën në drejtim të qiellit, duke
vendosur duart në kokën e tij dhe duke qarë për shkak të gabimit të bërë. Pastaj, Allahu i dërgoi
Xhebrailin, i cili i tha Ademit (a.s.): “O Adem, Allahu të dërgon selam dhe të përcjell këtë
mesazh: “O Adem, a nuk të krijova me duart e Mia? A nuk të kam fryrë prej shpirtit Tim? A nuk
të bënë sexhde engjëjt e Mi? A nuk të martova me Havën? A nuk ta caktova vendin në Xhenet?
Atëherë, pse gjithë ky vajtim? Shqiptoji këto fjalë dhe padyshim Allahu do të pranojë pendimin
tënd: “Subhaneke, la ilahe ila ente, amiltu suen ve zalemtu nefsi, fetub aleje, inneke entet-
tevvabur-rahim”

O Ali, nëse e vëren një gjarpër duke hyrë në shtëpinë tënde tri herë, mos e mbyt atë. Nëse
e vëren se po hyn në shtëpi për herë të katërt, atëherë mbyte, sepse është jobesimtar (xhin).
O Ali, nëse e vëren një gjarpër gjatë rrugës mbyte atë sepse unë i kam kushtëzuar xhinët
që të mos shndërrohen në formën e gjarprit.”
