Një burrë shkoi te prijësi i besimtarëve, Imam Aliu (paqja qoftë mbi të!) dhe i tha: “O Prijësi i besimtarëve. Unë bleva një shtëpi dhe dëshiroj që ti ta shkruash me dorën tënde kontratën e shitblerjes”.

Imami e shikoi me syrin e urtësisë dhe pa që dynjaja ishte ulur këmbëkryq në zemrën e tij dhe i kishte pushtuar të gjitha anët e shpirtit. Kur pa këtë gjë, Imami i shkruajti disa rreshta me anë të cilëve donte t’i kujtonte atij jetën tjetër. Pasi falënderoi Allahun dhe e lartësoi Atë, Imami shkroi:

“Vërtet, i vdekuri bleu nga i vdekuri një shtëpi në vendbanimin e gjynahqarëve, që ndodhet në rrugën e të pavëmendshmëve e kufizuar nga të katër anët. Kufiri i parë mbaron te vdekja. Kufiri i dytë mbaron në varr. Kufiri i tretë mbaron në llogari. Kufiri i katërt mbaron në xhenet ose në zjarr”.

Kur blerësi dëgjoi këto fjalë qau shumë dhe e kuptoi që Imami donte t’i largonte perdet e shumta që i kishin mbuluar zemrën e tij të pavëmendshme. Pastaj tha: “O Prijësi i besimtarëve! Betohem në Allahun se unë do ta lë lëmoshë shtëpinë time për ibnu sebilin (ai që mbetet në rrugë dhe nuk ka mundësi të kthehet në vendin e tij)”.
