Hazret Imam Aliu (a.s.), prijësi i besimtarëve, në lidhje me formimin dhe edukimin thotë:

  • “Personi që udhëheq duhet së pari ta reformojë vetveten dhe pastaj të mundohet t’i korrigjojë të tjerët. Para se t’ua mësojë të tjerëve normat e mirësjelljes, ai duhet vetë të bëhet shembull. Njëri që edukon veten në mësim dhe sjellje, meriton më shumë respekt sesa ai që vetëm ua mëson të tjerëve normat e mirësjelljes”.
  • “Respektoji të vjetrit tuaj, që fëmijët tuaj të të respektojnë ty”.
  • “Nëse dëshironi t’i reformoni të tjerët, atëherë filloni me reformimin e vetvetes. Nëse keni dëshirë t’i korrigjoni të tjerët, ndërsa veten ta mbani me të meta, atëherë kjo do të jetë njollosja më e madhe”.

Një grua besimtare njëherë kishte shkruar në një letër: “…karakteri i prindërve të mi ka lënë përshtypje të thellë për mua. Ata kanë qenë gjithmonë të sjellshëm ndaj fëmijëve të tyre. Unë kurrë nuk kam gjetur ndonjë të metë në fjalët apo veprat e tyre. Edhe ne kemi fituar një karakter. Nuk mund të harroj karakterin dhe sjelljen e tyre të mirë. Tani që edhe vet jam bërë nënë, përpiqem të mos bëj diçka të konsiderohet jo e mirë në prezencën e fëmijëve. Karakteri i prindërve të mi, është një karakter shembull të cilin e pasoj gjatë jetës sime. Mundohem që edhe fëmijët e mi t’i trajtojë në mënyrë të njëjtë”.

Kurse një grua tjetër besimtare shkruan në letrën e saj: “Kur mendoj moshën time të mëhershme, më kujtohet se si nëna ime kishte shprehi të grindet dhe të bërtasë për gjërat e parëndësishme. Tani që edhe vet jam bërë nënë po ndjej se me një ndryshim të vogël gjendja ime është përafërsisht e njëjtë me atë të nënës sime. Të gjitha sjelljet e saj të këqija janë bërë pjesë e karakterit tim. Është e çuditshme se sado që mundohem të reformoj vetveten, nuk jam në gjendje të bëj ndonjë përparim të madh në këtë drejtim. Është vërtetuar në mënyrë definitive në rastin tim se, karakteri dhe sjellja e prindërve kanë efekte me ndikim afatgjatë në formimin e karakterit të fëmijëve të tyre. Prandaj, është e vërtet thënia se nëna që i trajton mirë fëmijët mund ta ndërrojë botën”.
