Imam Aliu paqa qoftë mbi të në lidhje me bisedat e tij me Profetin Muhamed s.a.a., tha :“Unë isha ende një fëmijë i vogël dhe Profeti më dërgoi në kujdestarin e tij. Unë iu qepa atij dhe ai më ushqente, dhe (kur u rrita pak më i vjetër), ai kurrë nuk më gjeti të shqiptoja një gënjeshtër, as unë nuk përpiqesha ndonjëherë të mashtroja njerëzit. Në sytë e mi ai (Pejgamberi) ishte si një yll udhërrëfyes dhe më pas i ndiqja veprimet dhe veprat e tij me kujdes. Unë kam qenë i qepur me të si një pjellë e devesë e lidhur me nënën e saj. Ai përdori para meje vlera të larta të moralit dhe më këshillonte ti ndiqja ato; çdo vit, ai do të kalonte disa ditë në shpellën e Malit Hira dhe unë isha me të, unë isha shoqëruesi i tij i vetëm atëherë ku askush tjetër nuk mund ta takonte atë në Hira. Ishte aty ku pashë dritën e zbulesës dhe ja arrita për të nuhatur aromën e Profetit. Një her Profeti s.a.a. më tha: “Ali, ti ke arritur një vend shumë të shquar, ti sheh atë që shoh dhe dëgjon atë që dëgjoj”.
