“…Allahu nuk e ndryshon të ardhmen e asnjë populli, deri ai të ndryshojë veten e tij…” (Surja er-Ra’ad, ajeti 11).

Për të bërë rregullime apo ndryshime në sjelljen e një personi është e domosdoshme që në fillim të veprohet me rregullimin ose ndryshimin e prirjeve të tij. Njeriu është nën ndikimin e mendjes dhe të prirjeve.

Për këtë arsye, qëllimi kryesor i psikoterapistëve është ndryshimi i llojeve të ndryshme të mendimeve, që kanë të sëmurët psikikë për veten e tyre, për njerëzit dhe për jetën. I sëmuri psikik, me ndryshimet e mendimeve që ndodhin nën efektin e trajtimit, bëhet i fuqishëm për të përballuar problemet. Shpeshherë, pas shërimit, e kupton se problemet e shkuara bëheshin shkak i shqetësimeve dhe i sëmundjeve të tij.

Në thelb, mësimi është praktikë që në rrjedhë të tij rregullon dhe ndryshon mendjen, prirjet, zakonet dhe sjelljet e njerëzve. Puna e psikoterapisë, në të vërtetë, është korrigjim i mësimeve të gabuara të shkuara. I sëmuri, si rrjedhojë e mendimeve të gabuara rreth vetes, rreth të tjerëve dhe rreth jetës, është përballur me ankthe.

Psikologu përpiqet që t’i korrigjojë mendimet e pacientit dhe atë e detyron që të përballet me realitetin e tij dhe të njerëzve të tjerë. Në vend të arratisjes nga problemet, ai duhet të përballet me to. Gjithashtu, në vend që të vazhdojë të jetë i lidhur me gjendjen e ngatërruar psikike – që është pengesë e zgjidhjeve të problemeve – të përpiqet që t’i zgjidhë ato. Ky ndryshim qëndrimi e bën pacientin të fuqishëm përballë vetes dhe njerëzve dhe e bën atë më të fuqishëm për zgjidhjen e problemeve. Përfshirja psikike dhe ankthi largohen prej tij. Kurani ka zbritur për ndryshimin e mendjeve, të prirjeve dhe të sjelljeve të njerëzve, për udhëzimin e tyre në të drejtë dhe në të mirë, për shpëtimin nga humbja e rrugës së drejtë dhe injoranca, për të gjetur mendime të reja rreth karakterit dhe qëllimit të njeriut, për të treguar vlerat e moralit dhe shembujt e lartë. Kurani bëri ndryshime të mëdha në përgjithësi, që në themelimin e një sistemi të ri shoqëror, të jetës personale të njeriut, si dhe ndikimin e pakundërshtueshëm që pati në shoqëri. Shkurtimisht, mund të thuhet se në mes të gjithë Librave të Zotit që janë zbritur gjatë historisë, Kurani është i pranueshëm dhe i pazëvendësueshëm. Në një kohë të shkurtër, Kurani arriti të nxirrte personalitete mjaft të larta, të plota, të drejta, të qeta dhe të sigurta në vetvete. Ata mundën që të ndryshonin në mënyrë të jashtëzakonshme, të tundnin botën dhe të linin gjurmë të thella në histori.
