Orientimi në natyrë bëhet në bazë të trupave qiellorë. Trupat qiellorë që shërbejnë për përcaktimin e anëve të horizontit janë: yjet dhe yjësitë, Dielli, si dhe Hëna. Më anë të këtyre trupave qiellorë, njeriu mund të orientohet në çdo kohë si ditën ashtu edhe natën. Për këtë Zoti i Madhëruar thotë në Kuranin Fisnik:
