Betty Kelen rreth kokëdhimbjes së të Dërguarit Muhamed (paqja qoftë mbi të dhe familjen e tij) thotë: “I Dërguari u lut gjatë gjithë natës (në varrezat el-Baki) dhe u kthye në shtëpi tek kasolla e Aishes, e cila kishte kokëdhimbje dhe me të parë të Dërguarin, e rrudhi fytyrën dhe tha: “Oh koka ime!”. “Jo Aishe”, i tha i Dërguari “është koka ime”. U ul me vështirësi dhe me një kokë që i rëndonte nga dhimbjet, tha: “A do t’të pengonte të vdesësh para meje, që unë të të mbështjell në një qefin dhe të të varros?”. Ai dukej tepër i sëmurë por Aisheja, e cila besonte se ai s’u kishte dhënë akoma fund martesave të tija diplomatike, iu përgjigj hidhur: “Jo! Sepse mund ta paramendoj se si do të kthehesh nga varri drejt e tek një bashkëshorte e re”. (“Muhammedi, i Dërguari i Zotit”).

Ndërsa autori Muhammed Husejn Hajkal thotë: “Mëngjesin e ardhshëm, Muhammedi e gjeti të shoqen Aishen, duke e mbajtur kokën mes duarve dhe duke u ankuar nga kokëdhimbja: “Oh koka ime!” Muhammedi u përgjigj: “Jo Aishe, është koka ime”. Megjithatë, kokëdhimbja e tij nuk e pengonte nga bisedat me gratë e tija, nga puna e tij e përditshme dhe madje nga ndonjë shaka me to. Teksa Aisheja vazhdonte të ankohej nga kokëdhimbja, Muhammedi i tha: “Në fund të fundit, s’do të ishte dhe aq keq moj Aishe, që ti të vdisje para meje. I Dërguari nuk iu përgjigj ironisë së Aishes dhe u mbështet për muri. Kur dhimbja i kaloi, ai u ngrit dhe i vizitoi të gjitha gratë e tija si rëndom. Më 24 Sefer, ai ishte në dhomën e Mejmunes kur e kapën ethet dhe një kokëdhimbje e fortë. Thuhet se ai i thirri të gjitha gratë e tija dhe u kërkoi leje që të qëndronte në dhomën e Aishes. Ato u pajtuan. I Dërguari ishte tepër i pafuqishëm për të ecur. Andaj, Aliu e mbante në njërën anë dhe xhaxhai i tij Abbasi në anën tjetër, duke e ndihmuar nga dhoma e Mejmunes deri në dhomën e Aishes. Ai qëndroi në dhomën e Aishes deri në vdekjen e tij disa ditë më pas.

Por edhe përkundër etheve dhe dobësisë që kishte, i Dërguari shkonte në xhami kurdo që mundej dhe i udhëhiqte myslimanët në namaz. Më 26 Sefer, përcillet se ai ndihej më mirë dhe se shkoi në xhami i ndihmuar nga Aliu dhe nga Abbasi. Ai e udhëhoqi namazin e drekës dhe pas namazit, u foli njerëzve që ishin mbledhur. Ky ishte fjalimi i fundit i të Dërguarit të Zotit dhe në të, ai sërish la të kuptohej se vdekja e tij ishte pranë. “Unë i jam mirënjohës Ebu Bekrit më shumë se kujtdo tjetër për ndihmën e tij materiale, për përkrahjen morale dhe për miqësinë. Sikur të mund të zgjidhja një mik në këtë shoqëri, unë do ta zgjidhja atë. Por s’ka nevojë për një gjë të tillë, ngase vëllazëria islame është një lidhje më e fuqishme nga të tjerat dhe ajo na mjafton neve. Dhe mbajeni mend se të gjitha dyert që hapen drejt xhamisë do të mbyllen, përveç asaj të Ebu Bekrit”.

Pastaj i Dërguari i paralajmëroi myslimanët që të mos i ktheheshin idhujtarisë dhe të mbanin mend se ishin monoteistë. Pastaj shtoi: “Një gjë që s’duhet ta bëni kurrë është ta adhuroni varrin tim. Ata popuj të kaluar, që i adhuruan varret e profetëve të tyre, e fituan mllefin e Zotit dhe u shkatërruan. Kini kujdes që të mos e bëni të njëjtën!”.

Po atë ditë i kishin treguar të Dërguarit se ensarët ishin tejet të pikëlluar për shkak të sëmundjes së tij. Ky fjalim i tij ishte një rast i volitshëm për t’u treguar muhaxhirëve në lidhje me shërbimet e mëdha të ensarëve për Islamin. Ai tha: “Mos harroni as për një çast të vetëm se çfarë kanë bërë ensarët për ju. Ata ju dhanë strehë dhe mbrojtje. Ata e ndanë bukën dhe shtëpinë e tyre me ju. Ndonëse nuk ishin pasanikë, ata i vendosën nevojat tuaja mbi të vetat. Ata janë “amaneti” im për ju. Popujt e tjerë do të rriten gjithë kohës por numri i ensarëve vetëm sa do të bjerrë. Çfarëdo që të kenë qenë detyrimet e ensarëve, ata i kanë kryer me zell. Tani është radha juaj për t’i kryer obligimet që i keni ndaj tyre”.

Ensarët ishin të pranishëm në xhami dhe mezi i mbanin lotët. Duke u folur atyre, i Dërguari u tha: “O ensarë! Pas vdekjes sime do të përballeni me shumë vuajtje dhe gjëma”.

Ata e pyetën:  “O i Dërguar i Zotit! Ç’është këshilla jote për ne? Si të sillemi në këto kohë të vështira që do të vijnë?”.

Ai u përgjigj: “Jini të durueshëm dhe mos e humbni besimin tuaj në Zotin”.
