11 FAKTE PËR PAVARËSINË E KOSOVËS
Dita e shpalljes së pavarësisë së Kosovës padyshim që është një ndër ditët më historike të shtetit tonë, dhe të gjithë shqiptarëve anë e mbanë botës. 17 shkurti i vitit 2008 kishte qenë një ndër ditët më të ftohta të vitit, mirëpo kjo nuk i kishte ndaluar qytetarët të dalin dhe të festojnë. Me rastin e 11-vjetorit të pavarësisë së Kosovës, po ju sjellim 11 fakte rreth ditës historike të 17 shkurtit 2008.
1) Pavarësia e Kosovës është shpallur me datën 17 shkurt 2008, në orën 15:39 minuta, ditë e diel.
2) Dizajnues i flamurit dhe i stemës së Kosovës është Muhamer Ibrahimi.
3) Të parët që nënshkruan deklaratën e pavarësisë së Kosovës, ishin: presidenti Fatmir Sejdiu, kryetari i kuvendit, Jakup Krasniqi, si dhe kryeministri i vendit, Hashim Thaçi.
4) Shtetet që njohën Kosovën si shtet pas shpalljes së pavarësisë që në ditën e parë ishin: Afganistani, Kosta Rika, Shqipëria, Franca, Senegali, Turqia, Britania e Madhe dhe ShBA.
5) Pergamena e vjetër 200-vjeçare në të cilën është nënshkruar deklarata e pavarësisë së Kosovës, gjendet në zyrën e kryetarit të Kuvendit, dhe atë e shkroi: prof. Shyqri Nimani.
6) Përveç pergamenës, aty gjenden edhe lapsi me të cilin vënë nënshkrimet, listat e nënshkrimeve të deputetëve pjesmarrës në seancë, si dhe flamuri i vendosur në seancën e shpalljes së pavarësisë.
7) Muzeu i Londrës ishte shteti që ia fali Kosovës pergamenën për shpalljen e pavarësisë.
8) Flamujt e parë të Republikës së Kosovës ishin shtypur në Turqi.
9) Himni i Kosovës, i kompozuar nga kompozitori Mendi Mengjiqi, për herë të parë ishte intonuar në seancën e shpalljes së pavarësisë së Kosovës.
10) Yjet e bardhë në flamurin e Kosovës simbolizojnë komunitetet e ndryshme që jetojnë në Kosovë, harta e verdhë simbolizon pasurinë e Kosovës, ndërsa ngjyra e kaltër simbolizon Evropën.
11) Prezente gjatë seancës së shpalljes së pavarësisë të Kosovës, me transmetime direkte, kishin qenë edhe mediat më të njohura botërore si: CNN, BBC etj.
