Një plakë vdiq e vetmuar në një shtëpi pleqësh. Kur stafi e pastroi dhomën e saj e gjeti një letër që ajo e kishte lënë. Letra iu ishte drejtuar motrave dhe administratorëve të shtëpisë. Secili që e lexoi filloi të qaj.
“Të dashur kujdestar çka po shihni kur po më shikoni mua? Ju po e shihni në grua delikate që nuk është e mençur dhe ka shprehi të çuditshme. E shihni dikë që shikon trubullt me sytë e saj të lodhur. Një grua të vjetër që nuk dëgjon, e cila e derdh ushqimin e saj dhe ju lë të zemëruar. Këtë e shikoni?
Nëse është kështu, atëherë duhet të shikoni më me kujdes. Sepse kjo nuk jam unë.

Unë jam një vajzë e vogël me një familje të dashur. Jam një nuse e re, zemra e së cilës rrah shpejt se kam për të bërë një betim që do ta mbaj tërë jetën. Jam një nënë e dy fëmijëve të bukur që më duan dhe që kan nevojë për mua. Unë po plakem dhe po bëhem më e mençur. Fëmijët e mi po rriten shumë shpejtë dhe unë e di se thell në zemër ata kurr nuk di të më braktisin.

Jam një grua në moshë mesatare, fëmijët e mi a kan braktisur shtëpinë. Por unë me burrin tim vazhdojm të jemi të lumtur.Jam gjyshe. Për her të parë kam fishnje në prehërin tim. Nuk do të mund të isha më e lumtur.Jam e ve. Tani një re e errët qëndron mbi mua duke e vajtuar vdekjen e burrit. Kur e mendoj të ardhmen ndihem e humbur.

Nuk kam askend të kujdeset për mua. Fëmijët e mi i kan fëmijët e tyre. Nuk dua të u bëhem barrë atyre.Jam një grua e vjetër. Nuk ka mëshirë për mua. Trupi im është bllokuar. Forca dhe bukuria ime ka ndaluar.
Por pavarësisht nga këto thell në mua është një vajzë e vogël që jeton në rrënoja. Në mendjen time mendoj për të gjitha kohërat e mira dhe të këqija. E pranoj se asgjë nuk zgjat.Kështu që hapni sytë mirë dhe shikomëni. Ju nuk po e shihi një grua të vjetër delikate, por po më shihni MUA.”
Secili e ka një të kaluar plot me pendime dhe kënaqësi.

Të vjetrit meritojnë respekt dhe durim më shumë se askush tjetër. Sepse mbane mend një ditë edhe ne do të bëhemi si ata.
