Toleranca ndërfetare te shqiptarët

Tolerancë dmth-në të mos përndjekim pjesëtarët e besimeve tjera për shkak të besimeve apo bindjeve të tyre, që t’i detyrojmë të heqin dorë nga besimet dhe bindjet e tyre, por ata persona t’i lëmë të qetë të jetojnë dhe t’i durojmë.[1] Sipas pedagogjisë, arsimi i njerëzve është pikë kryesore dhe me interes për kultivimin e marrëdhënieve të barabarta, midis popujve dhe vendeve në botë, dhe si rrjedhojë, zhvillon veprimtari në frymën e paqes dhe tolerancës.[2] Vetëm në kohën moderne mund të vërehet ideja e tolerancës fetare e bazuar në qytetërimin perëndimor. Kthesë vendimtare në këtë drejtim shënon Revolucioni Borgjez Frëng (1789), ku liria e besimit ngrihet në kushtetutë.[3]

Populli shqiptar kryesisht i takon besimi dhe fesë islame, ortodokse dhe asaj katolike. Këto besime fetare në masat e gjera popullore e kanë pasur gjithmonë kuptimin e nocioneve sa të shenjta e hyjnore, po aq edhe njerëzore e kombëtare. Ato si të tilla populli shqiptar i pranon edhe si simbole të përpjekjeve shpirtërore dhe progresive për harmoni, tolerancë dhe bashkëpunim ndërnjerëzor në drejtim të realizimit të mirëqenies individuale, familjare dhe asaj të përgjithshme shoqërore e kombëtare.[4]

Bashkëjetesa paqësore dhe toleranca në marrëdhëniet ndërfetare si një vlerë e spikatur dhe e qëndrushme e popullit shqiptar ka gjetur shprehje të qartë në veprën e njohur “E vërteta mbi Shqipërinë dhe shqiptarët”, e rilindasit shqiptar Pashko Vasë Shkodranit, ku në një varg thotë: “Myslimanët e Shqipërisë janë shqiptarë, si dhe të krishterët, flasin po atë gjuhë, kanë po ato zakone, vazhdojnë po ato doke dhe po ato tradita. Në mes atyre dhe të krishterëve kurrë s’ka pasur smira të rrënjosura as dhe armiqësira shekullore. Ndryshimi i fesë kurrë s’ka qenë një shkak për t’i shtyrë në një përçarje sistematike; myslimanët dhe të krishterët, me pak përjashtime, gjithmonë kanë jetuar në një shkallë barazie, që gëzojnë po ato të drejta dhe përmbushin ato detyra”.[5]

Toleranca fetare e popullit shqiptar mbështetet në vetëdijen kombëtare, në faktin se të gjithë shqiptarët të të gjitha besimeve janë të një gjaku dhe të një gjuhe, kanë origjinë, historinë, truallin dhe traditën e përbashkët, janë pra një vëllazëri e gjerë, një popull. Kjo vetëdije ka ndikuar fuqimisht në kohezionin kombëtar në përmasa më të gjera, dhe e ka mobilizuar popullin shqiptar gjatë historisë për t’u bërë rezistencë përpjekjeve të vazhdueshme të të huajve që ta përçajnë dhe që ta sundojnë. Pra, shqiptari para së gjithash dhe mbi të gjitha, më parë e di veten për shqiptar, pjesëtar i një kolektivi të gjerë, i lidhur për të me lidhje gjaku e gjuhe, dhe më pastaj musliman, katolik ose ortodoks. Këtë të vërtetë e kanë vërejtur shumë autorë të huaj dhe në veprat e tyre e kanë theksuar si dukuri të përgjithshme të popullit shqiptar.[6]

Se sa e madhe është toleranca fetare mes shqiptarëve në Kosovë, tregon një dukuri e rrallë dhe e pashoqe në Ballkan. Fjala është për familjet e përziera për nga besimi, një pjesë e saj janë muslimanë e pjesa tjetër katolikë. Tolerancën fetare ndër ne më së miri e ilustron shembulli i dy vëllezërve në fshatin Zhegër (Gjilan) nga të cilët njëri është shkolluar për prift e tjetri për hoxhë.[7]
